Practice Spotlight: Corporate & Business Transactions

FLB Law’s Corporate & Business Transactions practice is comprised of attorneys Eric Bernheim, Leslie Grodd, Stephen Fogerty, and Enrico Costantini and paralegal Laura Lauricella. Local, regional, and national businesses of all sizes rely on our attorneys to serve as their general counsel or to provide their senior management with a full complement of services to help establish, grow, and operate their organizations. The team provides a broad range of services to assist throughout the business lifecycle, from formation through expansion, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, governance, and employment-related matters, as well as others.

FLB Law’s Corporate & Business Transactions attorneys review and negotiate contracts including vendor, licensing, franchise agreements, and purchase and sale agreements, and assist with developing protocols and procedures that promote a prosperous work environment. Our attorneys audit employment agreements, employee handbooks, and payroll practices to ensure they comply with best practices and wage and hour laws to avoid fines, penalties, and costly litigation. Our mission is to protect our clients’ interests and to help their businesses flourish and grow.

“As we emerge from the pandemic, we expect to see business owners acquire competitors that are no longer viable or have already shuttered as a result of COVID-19,” Eric said. “Additionally, we could see a number of restaurants and retailers open and/or expand as owners scoop up second generation space, which has already started to hit the market. There is pent-up demand, and, for those who made it through the COVID-19 storm with some semblance of health, there will be plenty of business opportunities.”
