Westport, Conn. (August 19, 2021) – FLB Law, a full-service law firm, is pleased to announce that three of its attorneys – Managing Partner Stephen P. Fogerty and Attorneys Alan S. Rubenstein and Leslie E. Grodd – have been named to the 2022 Best Lawyers in America®. Fogerty has been named in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Litigation - Banking and Finance and Litigation - Labor and Employment; Rubenstein in the area of Family Law Mediation; and Grodd in Tax Law.

“It is truly an honor to have three of our attorneys named among the leading lawyers in Connecticut,” said Eric D. Bernheim, managing partner. “Having our attorneys recognized by our peers is a true testament to their reputation as counselors and litigators. Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to all of this year’s honorees.”

Fogerty is first and foremost a problem solver. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients before judges and juries in every court in Connecticut and successfully argued appeals in the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Fogerty understands that solving complex and oftentimes emotionally charged disputes requires a broad and deep understanding of not only the complexities of the law, but the realities of the business world and the motivations of the parties involved. As result, he has established and maintained long-lasting client relationships that span more than 25 years.

In addition to being named for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, Fogerty is a member of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He also has earned an AV Preeminent® Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to Connecticut Super Lawyers in the area of Business Litigation. He is a long-standing member of The American Inns of Court.

Fogerty earned his B.A. with honors from the Catholic University of America (1983) and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (1986).

A trained marriage and family counselor with a Master of Science in counseling psychology with a specialization in marriage and family therapy, Rubenstein approaches divorce from a perspective that differentiates him from other divorce lawyers: He recognizes that divorce consists of “problems to be solved and not battles or a war to be fought.” He possesses a high degree of psychological awareness, which actively and constructively informs the attorney-client relationship and divorce process.

Rubenstein earned his B.A. with honors from University of Rochester (1979), his M.S. from San Francisco State University (1983) and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (’91), having attended Yale Law School for his third year.
